Rob,

We are using Spire in our conversions sub-module.  It looks like we are leveraging it for an implicit.

Do you know if we are using the version you would adopt?  I'm more than happy to coordinate a version of Spire.

I didn't know that Spire was started on of the first GeoTrellis devs; that's awesome!

GeoTrellis uses Spire currently just for it's "cfor" macro, but we are looking into potentially using it's numerics library for some generic non-boxing processing on rasters. I feel like the numeric typeclasses might be a good choice for usage with SFCurve as well.

Also, that library was started by one of the two original GeoTrellis developers!
