Don't mind, its a good input so we can improve. The magic puzzle is the pom-file in docs folder itself : Please have a look at the comments https://raw.githubusercontent.com/locationtech/udig-platform/master/docs/pom.xml

maybe its worth to extent the docguide sphinx documentation ( see rst files udig-platform/docs/devel/en/docguide at master · locationtech/udig-platform · GitHub ) ..

The console outputs are annoying but shouldn't limit the functionality. 

I've identified the problem and working on a fix. first shot can be reviewed already (NLS warning): [HK] fixes NLS Warning for cancel_tooltip · fgdrf/udig-platform@11cf659 · GitHub

Regarding imagemosaic log-output: Please correct me if I'm wrong, my read of Util.java is that a properties file is not optional. This raises the question: What kind of data-source have you used. any chance that I can test with the data-set?
