At first glance, the map editor api is ok as is, i just need it to be
moved into public api.
As for a blackboard, i think it makes more sense for the map to have the
blackboard since it is a data object.

you will find a lot of API needs to be made public.
What API do you need MapEditor to have?
Sounds like you need access to a Map. Did you want MapEditor or map to
have a blackboard? Probably Map.
