RE: [ptp-dev] Questions about SLURM rms support and implementation

Hi Greg,

I'm closing to the end of coding work of the ptp proxy for SLURM RMS.
Here I have some questions about the new proxy protocol since ptp-2.0.
As stated in the wiki page, a ptp command can only be sent in the proper phase.
But how about some asynchronous events? For example, what's the proper chance to send a job state change or node state change event to ptp ui?
Is it required that these events be sent only in the NORMAL phase (that is, only after the START_EVENTS has been sent)?

Regards,
Jie Jiang

We will need to go through the Eclipse contribution legal process, and you will be responsible for ensuring that it works (since I don't have any SLURM systems), but otherwise it would be great to support another resource manager.
