Re: [technology-pmc] jgrid shift and batch of IP tickets

I think it is a piggy back in the work required for IP review sense (not in the what we deploy at runtime sense).
To review CQ8994 (i.e. everything) the contents of CQ8530 can be reviewed first.

If there are additional subprojects or pieces of code used in this CQ, is it really a piggyback? Or just should reference that CQ?

Reading the description shows that each involve the review of distinct jars:

The following libraries are used by CQ8994 and CQ8530:
gt-api
gt-cql
gt-data
gt-epsg-hsql
gt-main
gt-metadata
gt-opengis
gt-referencing
gt-shapefile

The following are used by this CQ, but not 8530:
gt-geojson
gt-jdbc
gt-jdbc-oracle
gt-jdbc-postgis
gt-jdbc-spatialite
gt-jdbc-sqlserver

From a PMC standpoint I would be happy to +1 this (as a way to ask the IP team to "please review this one as well").

In reference to CQ #8994 for GeoTools 11.2 (https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8994), this is a Piggyback CQ for CQ #8530 under the GeoMesa project (https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=8530), which is not yet approved. Should we be PMC +1'ing Piggyback CQs when what they piggyback is still going through the IP team?

Need some help moving this along - the comments indicate this can be knocked down to "works with" (but without a +1 the autobot will not kick things along).

I would like to ask again for a PMC member to review the pending IP tickets as I do not want the IP team waiting (and thus hold up our review train).

An interesting ticket here:

JGridShift is an LGPL library doing some kind of transformation using grid files (my understanding is this covers transformations where no neat mathematics are available such as ad-hoc satellite images).

The GeoGig project is looking if they can knock this down to a "works with" dependency.

Other than over half the geogig IP tickets are marked awaiting_pmc - I am holding off reviewing these myself as a member of the GeoGig team.
