[eclipse-dev] Eclipse v3.0 installation

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Recently I downloaded and installed 3.0 on my SuSE 9.0 Linux system. I
was able to easily install it in my home directory, but I really prefer
to install it in a system directory. After analyzing the crash logs, I
set the configuration directory to read-write-execute by all to get it
to work in a system directory.

I would prefer not to allow Eclipse to write into that directory in the
case where multiple users might be running eclipse. My having the common
configuration directory, there could be a race condition.
