This wouldn't require being available in person, as they meet over
teleconference calls.

That was the intent of this posting. I needed to choose a tentative
date for the UI useability workgroup. The reason I'm trying to get
this in before M9 was so that we could take the feedback and possibily
incorporate it in during M9. I'd rather not have major UI changes
during release candidates after M9.
You can keep up with the UI workgroup by joining the mailing list:
https://dev.eclipse.org/mailman/listinfo/ui-best-practices-working-groupDavid had suggested that we run the XSL Tools project through the UI
workgroup as one of the steps toward graduation. There might be
another way to do this by creating some
power points or screenshots that
have some explanations, and this might be able to be handled via the
mailing list instead of doing a conference calls. However, I feel that
you are the best one to answer the questions as to why the UI is
designed the way it is, as you are most familiar with those portions.
