[udig-devel] M7 problem rollcall

So it looks like we have a couple of categories of issues to look into ... who wants to help set priorities.

Labels!
- this is a popular one; we have tried changing how the label cache is handled for M7; the "missing" label problem was also reported for M6. In discussions with Andrea it looks like whatever issue we are having is udig specific; as the same labeler implementation in geoserver works fine.

Databases
- PostGIS and Oracle are both working - and we have an issue determining the initial table size (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2704 and http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2572 etc...)
- DB2 is not (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1574http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1575); does anyone have access to a DB2 database; or do you know if http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/ will work for spatial?

Release:
- no mac release; I have instructions from Jesse but have not had time to follow them
- I could not find the print button; only a button to create pdf? Was this just a change for printing that I missed?
- the fancy new style perspective had not been committed yet; so M7 includes the rather confused "alternate map perspective"

SDK:
- source code not showing up from eclipse 3.5 (I verified it shows up in Eclipse 3.4 - so they must of changed the mechanism on us). The source plugins are listed correctly when I review the target platform contents. So some more research is needed here; perhaps we can follow a wizard; or read in the help menu; how things are done for Eclipse 3.5
- Running a Plug-in JUnit test - I tried to list what was needed in our SDK feature but I have obviously missed a plugin; there *is* a workaround (include your eclipse in the target platform); but it is something we should look at next time we make an SDK
