[udig-devel] Difference between the "Save" and "Commit Changes" buttons

Hi,

Can someone tell me the difference between the "Save" and "Commit changes" actions available from the button in the toolbar ?

Imagine I have a worldmap (from a shapeFile) as background of my diagram and I show some datas (from a WFS) in a different layer : the user must be able to edit these datas and update them on server side. A single action should be sufficient, the "Save" one : is there a way to merge these two actions ?

Regards,
Jacques
