I'm not sure I totally understand the problem but I'll see what I can do.

1.  Features obtained from a collection know nothing about the collection/store 
they came from so changing the feature directly only changes that feature not 
the data on the "real" datastore
2.  For the same reason changing the "real" feature using the FeatureStore or 
FeatureWriter will not update each instance object with the new values.  You 
have to handle that.
