Re: [udig-devel] recompile udig after making changes in source.
See http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/Project+Quickstart it has instructions on how to checkout udig.  The last section: Running the application is very similar to making a release of uDig as well.  Instead of clicking the Launch the product link you press the export link.
