Re: [udig-devel] Install problems

I'm in New York (EDT).

Add Required Plug-ins did the trick. Should this be required? I will try to go back and check what it did.

I am now able to get to the dialog to add a DB2 layer to the map. It doesn't work currently and I will try to sort out what is going on. At least now I can step through it with the debugger.

Normally I user IBM Rational Application Developer V6 which is based on Eclipse 3.0.1. It seems pretty close to Eclipse 3.1 but I wasn't as successful in getting things running. Will use the vanilla Eclipse 3.1 for now.

Thank you for your help!!!

What timezone are you in?

Can you click the Add Required Plug-ins button? And then "validate Plug-in Set"?

I have seen this problem once before (actually yesterday).
1. Import External Plug-ins and Fragments had been used to grab the udig source
code.
2. The target platform had been pointed to the udig souce code (rather then
C:\eclise)
3. This was all a big mistake !

To fix this kind of problem:
1. Windows > Preferences
2. Navigate to Plug-in Development > Target Platform
3. Confirm that the Location is C:\eclipse (or where ever your eclipse lives)
4. If needed fix this by pressing Restore Defaults.

You can then then use the "Run..." dialog and do the usual process to figure out
what plugins are actually needed again:
