I opened this issue to hold the result of the German translation work
How to use:

Zip file containes directories named like the corresponding projects.
Most directories contain a plugin_de.properties and/or a messages_de.properties.
(Some contain nothing, if the plugin has nothing to translate.)
To integrate the files into the SVN repository they simply must get copied to their french equivalents into the corresponding "nl1" projects.

Version 0.2

- UI: translated, except for the whole "Analysis" submenu
Status: not yet checked for consistency,
not checked by other native Germans language speakers
- Help: TOC translated, Basic tutorial translated,
other files are delivered, but still English
Status: checked for basic errors
not proof-read by other native Germans language speakers
- Remarks:
- Traditional German spelling/grammar
- I did not always use the terms from the original Eclipse German language pack.

Help by other interested German-speaking people is welcome. It's quite easy.
