Environment: win32, linux, Max OS X

Description:
A one-click installer is on the schedule for Milestone 4 (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/UDIG/Milestone+4+Deliverables). It is also our most requested feature.

Chris Holmes has provided a win32 based starting point based on the open source http://nsis.sourceforge.net/ installer.

Here is a link to his origional email http://lists.refractions.net/pipermail/udig-devel/2004-October/000289.html

There are several possible solutions for what the target install should look like:
- Target 1: Single directory with RCP + UDIG, contains a JRE directory with Java 5 JRE and JAI, ImageIO extentions
- TaRget 2: Single directory with RCP + UDIG, makes use of system's JRE w/ JAI and ImageIO extentions

We do want a cross platform win32, linux and Mac OS X solution, other possibilities include comercial installers such as InstallAnywhere.
