Re: [sumo-user] SUMO Acceleration and IDM Acceleration difference

Thank you, Sir.
Sure, I will do that.
kind Regards

Dear Simon,

please share your findings on the mailing list, so that everybody can comment on it. In order to understand your IDM review better, we would need rather the either the scenario or the FCD output and your manual calculation.

Best regards

Dear Sir,

Greetings from India. I am SIMON, a researcher working on the SUMO project. I have a question regarding the acceleration and speed output from the SUMO simulation using the IDM car-following model.

I have generated the acceleration and speed data using the FCD Output from the SUMO simulation, and then I manually calculated the acceleration using the IDM acceleration equation with the same parameters as in the simulation.  I took the speed, Actual gap, speed difference from the simulation output for the manual calculation. However, when I compared the two sets of acceleration data, I found a large discrepancy between them.

I have attached a sample of my data for your reference. Could you please advise me on what could be the reason for this issue? I am using the latest SUMO version 1.18.0.

Thank you for your time and attention.

kind Regards
