A screenshot with more context would be helpful but these things might be useful

1) insert vehicles in the network on appropriate lanes by setting vehicle attribute departLane="best"

2) add extra connections to fix short motorway weaving sections: https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/Motorways.html#combined_on-off-ramps

Did you set any custom attributes for the vType of those cars?

Hello, I am trying to model a highway but the problem I have is that some vehicles that need to take an off-ramp drive on the outer lanes resulting in stopping and occurring congestion until the other drivers let them take the off-ramp.
