Re: [science-pmc] April PMC meeting

I visited Ola Spjuth from BioClipse. It was a very interesting meeting. We will try to get a funding to combine OpenChrom/ChemClipse and BioClipse. So in the long run, BioClipse hopefully becomes also an official Eclipse project ... I will visit him end of August again.

Two students submitted a proposal for ChemClipse as part of the GSoC program. They will be hopefully chosen.

Best,
Philip

Hi all,

Nothing to report from TeXlipse. We’re still waiting to hear from some of the original committers.

Best regards,
Torkild

Hi folks,

We have had a lot of activity in January since the last PMC call:

- January 2.0.0 released
- January 2.0.1 released
- New website in development - preview here
https://jdarroy.github.io/eclipse.org-january/
- Improved focus on packaging with better examples/javadoc/etc (for
example: https://github.com/eclipse/january/pull/158)
- Maven deployment of January bundles is a WIP - example project
consuming january with maven
https://github.com/yannick-mayeur/mvnTestJanuary
- January 2.1.0 will probably be scheduled for just ahead of
EclipseCon France in mid June
- A January workshop is expected at EclipseCon France
- The January components that came from ICE/EAVP forms branch is
getting an update. https://github.com/eclipse/january/pull/159 - this
should lead to a new git repo soon. Hopefully we can release that as
part of 2.1.0

If everyone is ok, we can do it via email. If anyone would really like to
phone in, let me know, otherwise I'll assume email.

Christopher,

For some reason my email about the meeting went into a black hole. I'm
happy either way. I don't have any significant updates.

I believe we have a meeting scheduled for 10am PDT on Thursday.

Shall we just do email reports like we did last month, or should we have
a call?
