Re: [science-iwg] Science WG BoF

Hi Gaël,

that sounds great. I think it is a good possibility for us to meet and learn from other working groups. Moreover, the Science WG could definitively benefit from technologies developed at the M2M and Location Tech Working Groups. They could hopefully benefit from us too :-).

Best,
Philip

P.S.:
I'll also submit a talk soon.

Hi Philipp, all,

You are more than welcome to have a face to face meeting at the Unconference.
For this Unconference, we plan 3 slots during the day (one 2 hours slot in the morning, and two 1.5hours slots in the afternoon).
We will organize a lunch with all the participants of the Unconference and a dinner for those who stay for the conference.

You can either decide to have your meeting during the whole day, or also to have your meeting in the morning only, and suggest more general Eclipse topics that could interest also the other working groups in the afternoon. For example, if you suggest a session about visualisation, or about managing big datasets, I guess that other people would also be interested.

I still try to figure out if we will be able to organize a small poster session during the lunch.

Feel free to comment or send out your ideas, as an Unconference, we are just providing space and logistic, and we count on attendees to propose the program.

Also, I hope that more ScienceWG people will submit talks for the regular conference at https://www.eclipsecon.org/france2014/cfp. I think that your cool tools deserve some presentations to show all conference attendees what can be done with the Eclipse platform.

Best regards,

Hi Andrew,

no problem. It would be great to get a quick recap of the meeting :-).

Is a meeting also scheduled for the EclipseCon France in June, 2014?

Hi Philip, All

Very sorry we did not have a way to offer remote access.

We ended up in a much larger room, and it simply wouldn't have worked so that you'd be able to hear or participate in any meaningful way.

I'll send out an email & Doodle poll soon so we can book our next meeting. We can include a quick recap of the EclipseCon meeting to complement the minutes so those that missed can catch up.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

did you figured out a solution how we non-conference-attendees could join the meeting at 13:30?
