Re: [science-iwg] Science WG BoF

Philip/all,

Meeting at the Unconference sounds very good.
Given fellow JSR 363 Spec Lead (Units of Measurement API, designated successor to Unit-API 0.6 also replacing JSR 275 used by some LocationTech projects) Jean-Marie is based in Toulouse, I'd hope to meet him there, at least at the Unconference, unless he attends ECF or presented something there.

Martin, lead of GeoAPI (a key component in LocationTech, OGC is also a member) is based in Paris, if he makes it to this BOF or thought of a LocationTech related talk at the main conference, we could even have a small F2F of EG Members there. Following the "Northern Europe" F2F colocated at the JCP EC meeting the month before.

Beside projects like UOMo and JScience JSR 363 has touchpoints to both LocationTech and IoT, so it fits well into the idea of synergies with other IWGs;-)
The short (and cheaper) Unconference also meets the needs of some "busier" individuals who can't afford to leave their customers alone for an entire;-D

Hi Andrew,

no problem. It would be great to get a quick recap of the meeting :-).

Is a meeting also scheduled for the EclipseCon France in June, 2014?
