It is too early to panic. Oracle might pick up Apple's JVM. Apple might reconsider, or share a couple of developers. In any rate, it will take a year or two before this decision will have an impact, so it is premature to get rid of your Mac if you are otherwise happy with it. But it is certainly possible that in a few years, Linux will be a lot more in favor by Java developers.
