[platform-dev] Accessing data in source editor

Hi Developers, 
I am new to Eclipse. I need to access the text in the
source editor(where you usually type the code) in
Eclipse, save it in a data structure and dynamically
update it as the user keep editing. I was wondering if
anyone could tell me how to access the data in the
source editor.
