[microprofile-wg] MicroProfile Working Group - Assuming Office

Dear All, 


We understand that there have been questions regarding Emerson assuming office. 


Please see the following details regarding elected representatives serving their terms. 

Terms and Dates

Elected representatives shall each serve one-year terms or until their respective successors are appointed or elected, or as otherwise provided for in the charter. 

It's typical for the calendar year to run from April 1 to March 31 but that is not always the case. There shall be no prohibition on re-election or re-designation of any representative following the completion of that representative's term of office.

Assuming Office

Outgoing representatives remain in office until the newly-elected representatives take office. Once the results of the election are announced, the winners are officially elected and attend the first meeting of the next steering committee in the following month.
