Re: [microprofile-wg] Deleted folder in Google Drive

Hey you two and everyone,

No member in the steering cmtee is authorized to move files outside of the MPWG required infra drive.
On the few restrictions left by EF INFRA (we don't control the drive) is a protective measure of the drive back when the Steering Cmtee voted to make the private-drive become "View to ALL access" instead.

Thats why Minute agendas or collaborative documents aiming at bringing MicroProfilers to contribute must be placed under the Community drive instead.

If the EMO can help export the folders, that would be great. Otherwise, copy/paste it is.

Thank you Roberto for restoring the files! I managed to get to MicroProfile Community Drive and add a shortcut to My Drive as I could not get it added as a shared drive for me. I don't have permission to move the folders across the drives.

Thanks,
Emily

Hi Emily,

I’ve restored the OTel files. I’ve only noticed it because I was editing one of the files and suddenly I got an error message saying that the file I was looking at was deleted.

I believe everything should be available here:

A person with the right permissions should be able to move them out (at retain the links).

Cheers,
Roberto

I am with Roberto on this, which is why I did not volunteer to move the files across as I could not get the new shared drive MicroProfile Community Drive displayed for me to move across. If you move, the previous link will continue to work with redirection. If you directly copy the files, the previous links are all broken. I'm wondering whether the deleted file can be reinstored and then move across instead. Does anyone know?

Another separate issue: I am not sure how to get this MicroProfile Community Drive appearing as a shared folder for me. I have not worked out. This is why I found this drive is not as easy accessible as the one MicroProfile external drive from Eclipse Foundation. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

If we want to store more docs in this MicroProfile Community Drive, the top priority is to make the new shared drive easily accessible. Can we get this sorted before advocating more file moves?

Thanks
Emily

Thank you.

Can you please use move instead of copy, so the urls are are automatically moved as well? I don’t have permissions to move files outside the MP WG Drive.

Cheers,
Roberto

Roberto,

Thank you so much for this message.

MicroProfile Community Drive > Minutes were imported late last week to the not restricted + 5 years drive. The drive can be found via https://microprofile.io/resources/branding/

Unfortunately, I was hit with family health-emergencies (still attending to them) & was not able to send the written required update. For that I apologize.

Hi,

I’ve noticed that the Meetings folder in the shared MicroProfile Working Group (External) / Community was deleted.

Inside the Meetings folder, we had a MP Open Telemetry that we are using to place meeting notes and technical discussions around OpenTelemetry. If this is not the right place to put such information, please let us know and we will move it to the right location, but don’t delete the files please.

Thank you!

Cheers,
Roberto
