Please note that I originally proposed to enable the "Required signed commits" option. My understanding back then was that this setting enforces the "Signed-off-by" line in the commit messages as required by the Eclipse foundation and verified by the "ip-validation" check. But I was actually wrong. This settings enforces the use of GPG signed commits. Therefore, I requested to disable this particular option. I hope that everyone agrees that we don't want to enforce GPG signed commits at this point. Please let me know if you disagree on this. In this case we should start a new vote.
