Good question, it may be different for people in the Netherlands, but there seems to be demand for German content in Germany, Austria or Switzerland which my German article targets.

Not all talks but even one keynote at last week's OOP conference (a rather large event with somewhere over 2500 attendees) was held in German and not English.

Slightly offtopic, but I always wondered which market Java Magazine is exactly targeting with Dutch language articles. I haven't ever met a Dutch developer at the level Java Magazine is targeting who could not comfortably read English articles.
