Re: [iot-wg] New Member

Hi David,

It is great to have InfluxData join the Eclipse IoT Working Group.  FWIW, David will be doing a new member introduction next Monday at the IoT WG meeting in Germany.

See you next week.

Ian

Hello fellow WG Members,

My name is David G. Simmons, and I’m the Senior Developer Evangelist for InfluxData — the company behind InfluxDB, Telegraaf, Chronograf and Kapacitor — and we would very much like to be members of the IoT Working Group. We are the leader in Time Series Databases, and IoT data is, at its core, time series data. We’d love to work as closely as possible with you on Sample IoT architectures, testbed architectures, etc. as we see huge potential in IoT data analysis, visualization and reporting via the InfluxData TICK Stack.

I’ll be at EclipseCon Europe next week and would welcome the opportunity to meet with and talk to as many of you as possible about whatever IoT-related topics you have on your minds.

On a personal level, I've been doing IoT since 2004 — Project Sun SPOT at Sun Microsystems Labs — and love to talk IoT in all its forms!

Best regards,
dg
