Hi,

ok. If it can be disabled and the program/library still works, then it
would be "works with" from my perspective. Just out of curiosity, is it
triggered by an autoconf test?

+1 for works with from me

Yes, the portal has its issues [1] with these kind of requests ;-) But
when the decision is made that it is a works with dependency, then the
IP team does not need to bother about the source. And thus can work on
other tasks.
