Re: [ee4j-pmc] Migration to Jakarta installation of Nexus

Everyone from Sonatype is at an all hands meeting in Las Vegas this week.  I suspect something needs to be kicked and everyone is either taking advantage of the face time or flying back.

Paste a link to the ticket you filed so whichever they catch up on first (ticket or email) they've got the details (coordinates, etc).

Nope. That isn't it.

The artefacts are in the release repo in jakarta.oss.sonatype.org

I've also confirmed that the staging repo that did contain the artefacts
is now empty after running the "staging to release" job and it is.

I've also confirmed that the logs show the release to the correct repo.

Some of the 3rd stage jobs previously set up explicitly refer to the old oss staging rather than Jakarta.oss staging. I think if they "fail" they still show up as green in Jenkins so I would check whether the job worked and the URL of the staging repo in the job config.

Hi,

Many projects have the release jobs split up in 3 phases:

1. Build and stage
2. Run TCK against staged build
3. Staging to releasee

Indeed, if the 3rd phase has been executed it should sync to central
in normally an hour, two at most.

That is what EL has and the 3rd stage has been run.

I'll open a ticket with sonatype.

Thanks all,

Mark

Kind regards,
Arjan

Not an expert on maven etc. so what I say may be nonsense.
However my understanding is you have to push it yourself. We have a
nexus job we used in the original Jakarta EE 8 release that
   "releases" from staging to central.

EL has the same job and I've run it. It moves the files from staging to
released. There should then be an automatic sync from release to
   central. That hasn't happened (yet).

Hi all,

Ingestion services are back online and sync from Jakarta.oss to
Central is enabled. I see the release of the new parent pom
here: https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/eclipse/ee4j/project/1.0.6/

You should be all set to release any additional content from the new
endpoint. Don't hesitate to reach out if any of you run problems
   with
the service. Once you're settled into your new publishing process
   I'd
recommend using https://issues.sonatype.org/projects/MVNCENTRAL/ to
raise any future questions or concerns related to the service as it
will be easier to rope in some of our other team members.

Quick question here before I raise an issue with sonatype.

How long are we expecting things to take to sync from this Nexus
instance to Central? I released EL 4.0.0-RC1 ~18 hours ago and it
hasn't sync'd yet. I don't want to raise an issue if this is normal
   / expected.

Thanks everyone for your patience, I hope
   jakarta.oss.sonatype.org <http://jakarta.oss.sonatype.org>

Thanks for clearing that up, David! Sorry again for the

   Publishing
services are temporarily offline but we are working to

          - At 9:55am Pacific there was a HEADS UP email by Dmitry

Unfortunately yesterday there were several private threads

         We are in mid transition.

At this point we need to let Terry work and not bombard

DO NOT respond on any private threads or start new public

   ignore it.
