Minutes of the CDT Test Team Meeting

Thursday June 26th 1pm EDT

1. Introductions (with their focus,
where available):
IBM Rational - Mathieu Lapensee (lead),
Brent Nicolle (adoptability by large projects),

2. Status
Deferred.


3. Draft Test Plan Review
Mathieu's document "CDT Master
Test PlanV02.doc" was presented.
In particular, Section 2 was of more
use as part of a general overview.

Master Test Plans JDT has for examples
of open-source test plans.  The

MS-Word format acceptable, webification
encouraged.

3.1  Host platforms under test
IBM Rational to focus on Solaris, Linux,
Windows.
QNX to focus on QNX self-hosted, Solaris,
Windows.  Linux RedHat 8.0 eventually.
TimeSys to focus on Windows, Linux
RedHat 7.3.
RedHat to focus on Linux only.

3.2  Automated UI Testing tools
Jeremy is looking for Linux-based UI
test automation tools.
Mercury Interactive WinRunner is used
by QNX (Windows only)
Rational XdeTester's Linux version
uses Motif not GTK.
Jeremy welcomes any other suggestions.


4. Risks and Concerns

4.1 Schedule
Brent mentioned there is a very limited
time between Feature Freeze and GA.
It would be nice to be able to plan
for some features being
available and test-ready prior to Feature
Freeze.


5. Next Meeting:
Next CDT Testing call scheduled for
Thursday July 10th at 1pm EDT.
IBM Rational will host and send out
meeting call-in info that week.
