Re: [4diac-dev] Eclipse Platform will update to Java 11 with the 2020-09 release

Hi,

today I merged the commit that upgraded all 4diac IDE plugins to Java 11. As part of this merge I also changed the Gerrit and the Nightly build Jenkins to Java
11. So from tomorrow on nightly build 4diac IDE updates will require a JRE 11 to be installed. Please let us know if you experience any problems so that we can
proceed and have 4diac IDE 1.13.0 running with Java 11.

I also want to point you to the Eclipse JustJ project. This project has the goal to provide JREs to be bundled with Eclipse based applications. We already
created a bug for adapting JustJ also for 4diac IDE. This means if everything goes as planned soon 4diac IDE will come with its own JRE and users will not need
to install anyhting on their machines just download unzip and run.

Cheers,
Alois
