EE4J PMC Meeting #2019-24

Review, discuss and update the GitHub Issues, https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/ee4j/issues.

Deferred to next meeting.

Discussed meeting frequence and decided to suggest monthly meetings with the 1st Tuesday every month as meeting slot?

Action: Send suggestion for discussion on the PMC mailing list (Ivar).

Discussed the impact on PMC. Decided to wait and see what directions the Working Group and/or the Eclipse Foundations have on the matter.

Discussed contributions required for new committers. E.g. Jenkins work can not be done without being a committer. How to nominate someone dedicated to do this work elected without any “formal” contributions in the form of commits or pull requests.

PMC suggests: Send an explanatory text with the nomination or simply ask the nominator to provide such when the election starts.

Build does not work on new cloud infrastructure. The project needs this! There are also other projects that are affected and complaining about poor performance on the current cloud infrastructure.

Action: Ask Wayne when the move to the new solution is happening.

It has been a long time since we were all in attendance at the same meeting. This is most likely due to the high pressure during the Jakarta EE 8 release. We hope this will get better when we start with the monthly PMC meeting cadence.
