Folks,

As we were working through our defect backlog for 3.0.4, we discovered an overlooked bug - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=254887 - which adds important null checks to VirtualResource. We were granted PMC approval and are releasing it now for a respin of 3.0.4. This code is core to a lot of teams, but should not require a rerun of the smoke test for any other team. (Our testing should cover it.) I am also committing/releasing this for 3.1 (but technically, since there has not been a smoketest request yet, we do not need to request a respin).
