These new results are a prerequisite to the Hierarchic EVM concept, as they provide interfaces to monitor the lifecycle of an EVM instance. 

The Hierarchic EVM design would use this to create “master" EVM programs that react to such lifecycle events coming from “slave” EVM instances - providing a uniform way to orchestrate EVM chains. Such EVM chains could be transformation chains or complex transformation setups where various EVM executors (batch/live, CEP, DSE) are combined.
