Right now I'm leaning toward what Doug is suggesting. The
problem is that Eclipse has always been driven by the need of
it's members. It is what drives the development, drives the
resources in a lot of cases behind projects, and drives projects
moving forward.
The goal for me to bring Andmore to Eclipse was to try and give
it a reasonable chance to survive and grow naturally on it's
own. I stated that it was going to be the community that
formed around it that would make it succeed or not. My own
time is limited and it was the hope that companies like Red Hat
(just using them as an example) that have a vested interest in
mobile development would jump in to continue the development.
With that said, we are still looking for people to actively
contribute and keep the project going forward, but it requires a
community that wants it and needs it badly enough to make it
happen.

Thanks Kaloyan for bringing this up. There was a
lot of hope that if you make it open and at Eclipse, people
would jump to help out. That clearly hasn't happened. And the
longer that doesn't happen, the farther behind Andmore gets.
It saddens me dearly as I hold Andmore as my "canary in
the coal mine". Eclipse projects across the Tools spectrum
are struggling to maintain their communities. Andmore should
have been a natural if users really wanted to use Eclipse
for their app development. We really need to know why that
is apparently not true and where we go from here.
But for now, I'd suggest not put it in Oxygen. The only
way we'll know if anyone is out there who cares is to take
it away from them. Maybe then they jump in to help. And if
not, we'll know our answer.

(sorry to be so gloomy, but been thinking this for quite
a while and am working on ways to revitalize our tools
ecosystem, even potentially reboot it).
