[udig-dev] Adding custom plugins to uDig

I'm trying to use uDig as a basis and extend it's functionality with my features.

Also it will be great if GitHub fork/clone not required to be created.

1. Is there a way to add custom plugins and features to uDig build process?

2. Is this can be done only by adding them as modules to uDig's root pom.xml?

3. Is there a way to override uDig build process from parent pom.xml and leave 'uDig-platform' folder unchanged?
