Andrea, have a look at the open pull request from Jody that addresses feature collection changes. I'm far away from screen therefore I can't have a look at the moment, maybe Jody has committed changes for all relevant modules in udig codebase.

between 9M0 and 9.0 there are codebreaking pieces that come into the
game mostly bound to featurecollection stuff.
uDig is still on 9M0 and I was wondering what the effort would be to
do the change. Maybe Jody, you have already an idea?
I will also have to upgrade the whole jgrasstools ecosystem and was
trying to understand when and what.
