Description:	I have hit a some pretty hard feedback/confusion when watching users try out the merge tool at a customer's site. Confusion between desired "Selection Merge" and "Direct Merge" workflows below: Selection Merge Workflow (does not exist) The selection can be established with the selection tool and.or table view Right click on the selection, or use operation men; to run "Merge" operation Merge View opens allowing the definition of the new feature Direct Merge Workflow: Selection established (with bbox feedback) directly using the merge tool The selection is presented in the Merge View allowing the definition of the new feature Short term fix: change the feedback colour to "blue" or anything to indicate we are no longer selecting features I have some ideas on how to fix this which I will explore in sub tasks; it is important to very clearly report this issue and ideas as Marco is in the middle of porting these tools.
