Updated based on initial testing:

Checklist

  1.  Switch back to 8.0-M4 for release
  2.  Build udig.product to target directory
  3.  Release in Jira
  4.  Update deploy/udig-1.3.x.html
  5.  Run through the deploy scripts
  6.  Upload to the staging area for testing
  7. Walkthrough 1
    •  Some clarifications around use of proxies for walkthrough 1 (link to Running uDig)
    • Update the uDig help content (example What is new)
    • Welcome page needs some love (example Offical Website should open in a new window)
  8.  Walkthrough 2
    • Notice a new version of GeoServer is released today
    • Creating a Lake in section 10 Create Geometry; results in a double lake; lake is also not visible until refresh is called
    • Tool options do not always show the tool name as expected (expect trouble is due to multiple maps)
    • Fill tool does not have any problems (only Create Polygon)
  9. Tag and copy to the release area
  10. No announcement as this is just a patch
