That is not the problem. The problem is bound to the case in which we
have two netcdf files, both with time layers and vertical (say for
example elevation) layers.
In that case while time means the same for both and can be handled
with a common slider, the same doesn't apply for the vertical axis,
which can be anything and different for the two of them, therefore not
to be handled with a common slider.
