Re: [udig-devel] Path update in Udig project file

I have some code that has not been heavily tested that creates a relative path from the udig map file to the shapefile.  It is supposed to be there and working.  But like I said it is not well tested.  It passed on some of the tests that I used but perhaps a more recent change broke it as I do not test that functionality regularily.

Another thing that can be possibly done is that uDig tries to use relative paths.  So if the shapefiles are in the project folder you should be able to pass the entire project to your friend and have him open that.

Also you can instead of using a shape file use a postgis.

Hello,
When i create the udig Project Udig took absolute paths, so when I take the project files into my udig based java client in order to get loaded on startup it try to retrieve absolute paths, even if I left those shapefiles in my udig based java client folder structure…

So I don’t know how to do a shapefile relative path loading from udig…
there is a way?

Thank you in advance.
