Thanks for everyone who helped review the sdk and custom app setup 
instructions...

Now for my own "review" based on my training course last week (these are 
notes for later if anyone is interested):
- I need to take some of my slide diagrams and add them to the workbooks 
for context; this is especially noticed as people put together the 
custom app and wonder at all the steps they are taking
- the screen snaps are both good and bad; people squint at them to see 
that they are in the right place; and get lost when a screen snap is not 
provided (say when being asked to add a dependency)
- making the code examples available as a raw text file for cut&paste 
would prevent people cutting and pasting from the PDF document and 
accidentally getting footer messages
- the workbooks work much better when printed in colour
- importing example code from the SDK is really great
