The GDI install file says not to put the DLL into the SYSTEM
directory, which seems wise. I ended up tracking down the directory
in the JRE included with uDig where all the DLLs lived and putting it
there. Worked like a hot damn. (Sorry, can't tell you right now which
one that was, as am not in front of Windows computer.)
