Hello,

It's too bad this is not working for you. Are you using a downloaded
uDig or trying to build it yourself? Which version are you using? 

The binary download comes with its own jre and uses that, so all the jai
files are already in that jre. 

If you are using a binary download, try one of the newer or older
versions. The final release of one of the recent Release Candidates had
some problems.

If that doesn't work, send us more info.
