If we did decide to do direct SDF access instead of an FDO Datastore,
we could use <http://www.ch-werner.de/javasqlite/overview-
summary.html> as a start point.
On a second pass through the SDFPlus driver in the OpenSource FDO package.
Envelope / Bounding Box filtering is the only spatial thing being used.
SDF has more than one format version. I checked with a couple versions
of Mapguide and the file preambles are clearly different in the versions.
While the driver uses SQLite calls into a SQLite library, the SDF file
doesn't seem to work with SQLite2 or SQLite3.
The newer format SDF has a SQLite3 file preamble but,
sqlite3 says
Error: malformed database schema
C.
