When importing files, uDig doesn't recognize the multiple wildcards, only the specific file types.
1) Import --> Data --> File --> (Select folder with data either .shp or .tif)
==> The data doesn't show up, despite the 'file type' wildcard being set to *.tif *.shp...
2) Change the file type to .shp or .tif
==> the files show up and can be selected for import.
