GeoTiff throws exceptions when you open an unrelated layer...these should probably be suppressed as the other catalog extensions have them suppressed.
To recreate, add a mapgraphic layer to a map. GeoTiff will be called to see if it can handle it, it can't, and it throws exceptions.
