Re: [udig-devel] Error starting uDig

(a) I assume other X windows apps work remotely in the same config?
(b) what happens if you run something funky on the Linux bug, like the glgears demo? Something that uses an accelerated window?

I'm trying to run uDig remotely over ssh. uDig is running on a linux box. The X11 display is on a Mac OS X 10.4 machine.

I get the uDig start window which closes soon after opening. The output is below

[sfulton@bob]: ./udig
action.remove: 'elcl16/remove_co.gif' found action.remove
action.remove: 'dlcl16/remove_co.gif' found action.remove
The program 'uDig' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 3277 error_code 3 request_code 38 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
