When attempting to add an ArcSDE data source, the operation fails.  Error Message Connection Failure:  null is displayed in the dialog.  No information is printed in the log file.

Help section for this import is not complete.  Parameter definitions that I used are:


Host:  name of the server hosting ArcADE
Port:  port that ArcSDE uses to communicate with ArcIMS instance, also tried the Oracle listener port 
UserName:  data schema name, also tried the sde management schema name
Password:  appropriate for schema used
Database:  Oracle Instance name, also tried the TNS names name as defined on the host server
