Thanks richard - please report back.
- So far I have reported our trouble (and expect a full email box).
- Found one guy that had copied his m4 plugins to m5a. After getting
a lot of "oh my god why" responses it came out that he had only copied
the "newer" plugins. So if m4 has some newer plugins then m5a it
would explain a lot of that - things are getting worse feeling you get
when using m5a.
- had to restart after not being able to edit files
- I have had to ask m5a to use my system browser (or else help does not
work)
File and type comments not inserted into new Java files

off.
Someone else had David's soap problem - david escaped this by use of JRE
extention:

SAAJ libraries
Apparently you can kill M4 and M5 help by having log4j in your classpath
before eclipse started.
OSGI4.0 was listed as a plan for 3.1 M5 (this is the micro kernal that eclipse uses to be cool). The newsgroup cannot tell if it has been brought up to be compliant with 4.0.
So all in all we are the first people to complain about m5a :-P
