[udig-devel] uDig 0.8 Release Candidate 1

The uDig team is pleased to announce the release and tag of uDig, version 0.8,
Release Candidate 1. In this version you will notice improvements such as a
non-blocking user interface experience for layers, catalog and search. We have
also added a new search service, populated by searching google and presented at
the last OGC meeting in NY. Other improvements include reprojection support, and
PostGIS feature editing support. There are also a number of significant bug
fixes and interface improvements, leading to a more stable uDig. 

All of the uDig team here at Refractions would like to thank all the volunteers
who have contributed to this release either through improvements to the Geotools
Code base or through valuable feedback.
